50+ New Habitat for Humanity Chapters on GiveTide
GiveTide has recently begun collaborating with more than 50 Habitat for Humanity chapters across the country.
Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the United States and in more than 70 countries around the world.
HFH works to build strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with people and families in need of a decent and affordable home, as they believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.
Having a place to call home is a simple concept that so many people take for granted. HFH depends on financial donations to fund the inspiring and life-changing work they carry out daily. Search for your local Habitat for Humanity affiliate or Habitat for Humanity’s main page on the GiveTide app to start rounding up and donating your spare change to help people find a place they can call home.
Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, Habitat for Humanity’s work is critical as ever, as families are especially facing financial hardships. HFH is continuing to work tirelessly toward their vision of a world where everybody has a decent place to live.
When you donate to a specific HFH chapter, your money will go toward helping families in that designated area who are in need of housing.
Families who partner with Habitat for Humanity build their own homes alongside HFH volunteers, pay an affordable mortgage and are grateful for the help of donors.
Undesignated gifts are invested through the Global Impact Fund where they can have the greatest impact, according to habitat.org. Habitat's Global Impact Fund helps:
Design and replicate innovative programs to serve more low-income families.
Build the capacity of our network of U.S. affiliates and national organizations.
Cover other costs necessary to ensure that Habitat fulfills its mission with excellence.
In addition to building homes, HFH also asks legislators and housing regulators to increase support for affordable homeownership and decent housing. The organization monitors public policies related to housing, community and international development. Additionally, they advocate for policies that will increase access to decent, affordable housing available to people around the world.
We'll say it again: never underestimate the power of your spare change! When we all come together, it adds up quickly and makes the world of a difference to organizations that rely entirely on donations to continue to make the world a better place.
